I remember when I used to spend Summers in North Carolina with my grandparents, one of my favorite things to do was paint Indian figures. Most of them were about 10 inches high, and they were made of some sort of plaster or cement. They came with a picture of the figurine after it was painted and recommendations on which colors to use (purchase), applying the base, highlights, etc. It was a lot of fun. I would love to try it again sometime.

(note: basically, they were Indian Chiefs)
